Asterisk Logo Just in time for the Asterisk World conference currently taking place in Miami, the event organiser Digium, the company behind the open source telephony system Asterisk, has opened its AsteriskExchange online marketplace. The platform reportedly offers hardware and software providers a central location to present their Asterisk solutions to customers; users can visit the site to get comprehensive information, including experience from other users.

Providers who want to present their solutions at the site have to fill in an application, which Digium reviews. The list is free for providers of free solutions, while the fees for providers of commercial solutions depend on whether you choose a basic or premium entry.

The Asterisk marketplace also has a ranking system to automatically display the most popular products and those with the best rating. Additionally, users can publish their own reviews.
