JSR 330, which defines the way the Dependency Injection Pattern is used within Java, has now been signed off through the Java Community Process (JCP). The process for signing off the JSR, which was proposed in May, was dealt with quickly by the expert group responsible, due to the fact that this summer the JCP decided to include JSR 330 in the sixth edition of Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE), due in November.

Interested Java developers can download the documentation from the project website. The website also contains a list of the experts involved in the project, which, with names such as Rod Johnson, Bob Lee, Gavin King, Jürgen Höller, James Strachan and Rickard Öberg, reads like a who's who of current Java developers.
