Microsoft's CodePlex open source community page now offers the December edition of the Silverlight Toolkit to download. According to the project, the December edition contains more than 100 new features and bug fixes for Microsoft's Silverlight web presentation and application technology. The AutoCompleteBox and NumericUpDown controls are now said to be stable, and three new themes have been added: Bureau Black, Bureau Blue and Whistler Blue. The developers also reworked the sample application to make it more user-friendly. The same applies to the test environment.

The Silverlight Toolkit is a collection of Silverlight controls, components and tools developed independently of Silverlight. It contains the entire source code, unit tests, examples and the documentation for a dozen new items, including graphics, styling, layout and user input controls.
