CrossOver Games 8.0 released for Mac and Linux
CodeWeavers has released version 8.0 of its CrossOver Games application. CrossOver Games is based on the Wine open source project which allows Windows applications to run on non-Windows systems. CrossOver Games 8.0 adds support for Left4Dead, the Steam version of Tales of Monkey Island, Perfect World, Jade Empire, Ether Saga and Dragon Sky while improving the support for Half-Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Spore, Guild Wars, Civilization IV and Bejewelled. There are also fixes for a number of unsupported games such as EVE Online and Lego Star Wars.
CrossOver Games 8.0 costs £25.99 for Linux or Mac and is available from the CodeWeavers store. The Mac version requires an Intel Mac. The price includes one year of support and updates.
