CrossOver icon CodeWeavers has released version 11.2 of CrossOver, a feature update to the 11.x branch of its software for running Windows applications on Mac OS X and Linux. CrossOver 11.2 is based on the recent Wine 1.4.1 release and now supports Microsoft Visio 2010 and Microsoft Project 2010.

The update for CrossOver XI fixes a number of bugs when running applications such as Rosetta Stone 3 and PowerPoint 2010. Installation of new software using CrossTie should also now be able to detect the graphics driver and provide better installation instructions. Support for the upcoming Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion release has also been added.

CrossOver 11.2 is available for Linux and Mac OS X, and costs from £25 to £38 depending on the amount of support required. With its last major update, version 11, CodeWeavers combined the previous "office", "games", "standard" and "pro" CrossOver editions into a single edition. Information on which Windows applications are compatible with CrossOver can be found in the company's online database.
