CollabNet Logo California-based Agile application life cycle management (ALM) specialist CollabNet has announced the release of version 4.5 of ScrumWorks Pro, the company's project and program management solution. According to CollabNet, more than 1,600 companies and 150,000 users around the globe already use ScrumWorks.

The latest version of ScrumWorks Pro features a variety of new reporting capabilities, such as Hours Spent by Theme, Lean Cycle Time, Release Burn-Up and Team Average Velocity. With these reporting tools, organisations can track, for example, research and development (R&D) hours, while more accurately forecasting releases and iteration milestones.

Discussing the release, CollabNet Scrum Business Line CTO and VP Victor Szalvay said, "The new ScrumWorks Pro capabilities were selected based on CollabNet’s real-world experience working with thousands of Agile enterprise customers worldwide," adding that, "The product is intentionally designed to support the core Agile values and processes and is the ideal platform both for small teams and for organisations scaling Agile to meet the requirements of large, distributed enterprise development environments".

Further information can be found in the release notes and in the below press release. ScrumWorks Pro 4.5 is provided as both a hosted service and for on-premise installation, and a 35-day trial license is available. Licenses start at $28 per month (£17.42) for a single user.

CollabNet acquired Scrum specialist Danube, the company behind ScrumWorks Pro, in February of this year. It is also the founder of the popular open source Subversion version control and configuration management tool, an Apache Top-Level Project.
