CeBIT 2011: Call for projects

CeBIT Open Source Next year's CeBIT trade show will take place from the 1st to the 5th of March on the world's largest fairground in Hannover, Germany. For the third year in a row, there will be an open source presence at the event and projects can now apply for free booth space.

During the show the open source projects will once again be highlighted in Hall 2. Projects allocated a free booths will be required to present their project, including its future goals, to attendees and the booth must be set-up and manned throughout the show. The deadline for applications for booths is the 30th of November. Winning projects will be selected by an international jury no later than the 15th of December.

CeBIT, an acronym for "Centrum der Büro- und Informationstechnik", which means "Centre of Office and Information technology", has been held each spring since 1986. It's the world's largest trade fair showcasing the latest in information technology (IT) products and solutions from thousands of companies from all around the globe.

The CeBIT Open Source 2011 Call for Projects is sponsored by Linux New Media AG and the Deutsche Messe, which runs the CeBIT event.
