Canonical and the Ubuntu UK community have announced they are hosting a joint "Ubuntu in Business" event on July 13th. The free half-day event will include case studies from Oxford Archaeology and Emphony Technologies on how they use Ubuntu in their businesses as core parts of their infrastructure. The presentations will be followed by demonstrations of Ubuntu Enterprise Cloud, Landscape Systems Management, Ubuntu Server Edition, Ingres and Alfresco.

The half-day will conclude with a panel of Canonical staff, partners and community members and chaired by regular The H columnist Glyn Moody, discussing "The Benefits and Pitfalls of an Open Source Strategy". The event will be held at The BrickHouse, Brick Lane, London, and registration is free.
