The KDE developers have announced Camp KDE 2011 which will be held at the Hotel Kabuki, San Francisco, California, on 4 and 5 April. The Camp will be immediately followed by the Linux Foundation's Collaboration Summit which takes place on 6 and 7 April at the same location.

Amanda McPherson, vice president of marketing and developer programs at the foundation said, "Having Camp KDE co-located with The Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit helps to bring even more of the Linux community's key stakeholders together in one place,".

Registration for Camp KDE 2011 is open and attendance is free. The call for papers for Camp KDE 2011 is also open for a due date of 25 February and final acceptances will be sent out on 11 March.

The Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit is a 'by invitation only' event which gathers core kernel developers, distribution maintainers, ISVs, end users, system vendors and other community organisations together to resolve the most pressing issues facing Linux today.
