Open Source Monitoring Conference logo In their Call for Papers (CfP), the organisers of the Open Source Monitoring Conference (OSMB) have asked potential speakers to submit presentation papers for the network monitoring conference, which will take place on 17 and 18 October in Nuremberg, Germany. This event is the seventh of its kind and is organised by German IT firm Netways.

The event organisers are seeking talks and in-depth workshops covering the field of open source network monitoring software; they say that these can be very technical in order to provide "insight into a new topic or OSS project, technical background, how-to, etc." In addition to German, English has been established as the OSMC's second conference language. The CfP deadline is 30 June.

Various in-depth workshops on as yet unspecified topics are also planned for the day before the conference. Registration is now open and costs €995 for for the conference including accommodation, or €750 without accommodation; early bird discounts of €100 are available until 30 June.
