The Bordeaux developers have announced the release of version 1.8.0 of Bordeaux for OpenSolaris. Bordeaux is a GUI configuration manager add-on for Wine and is also available for Linux and BSD. Wine itself is free open source software that allows users to run Windows applications on Linux and Unix by providing its own native versions of Windows DLLs.

Version 1.8 of Bordeaux for OpenSolaris includes support for Microsoft Office 97, 2000, 2003, Visio 2003, Project 2003, Internet Explorer 6, Adobe Photoshop 6 and 7. Bordeaux 1.8 is available for $25.00 and includes 6 months of email support. Customers are required to download and install the most recent version of Wine before using Bordeaux.
