Banshee 2.2 add support for eMusic store
Source: Banshee.fm After six months of development, version 2.2 of the Banshee open source media player has been released. The first stable update to the 2.x branch adds support for the eMusic online store, allowing users to browse, preview, purchase, and download new music directly to their library.
Banshee 2.2 adds support for transferring music between Banshee and Barnes & Noble Nook e-reader tablets, as well as several other new devices: Motorola Atrix, Notion Ink Adam, Samsung Galaxy Ace, Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Xperia X12. Other changes include enhancements to the experimental GStreamer backend, support for the SPC file format, a new "Stop when finished" option in the popup menu, and support for default internet radio stations provided by third parties. More than 100 bugs found in the previous 2.0 release have also been addressed.
Further information about the update, including a full list of changes and dependencies, can be found in the official release announcement and in the release notes. Version 2.2.0 of Banshee is available to download from the project's web site and is released under the MIT/X11 License.
