SugarCRM has gained BT as a reseller of its open source Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software. Under the terms of the reseller partnership agreement between the two companies, the telecoms and IT service provider will offer its business customers the open source company's customer relationship management suite.

SugarCRM offers three versions of its suite. In addition to the two commercial versions, Sugar Professional and Sugar Enterprise, there is a "Community Edition" available for download under the GNU General Public License Version 3 (GPLv3). The CRM software may be deployed either as a traditional on-site server application or delivered over the web via the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. BT intends to offer its customers the Professional and Enterprise versions, both as a software package for local installation and as a hosted service.
