Axiom Software's Axiom Stack, a JavaScript/ECMAScript based web application stack, has been licensed under the Gnu Affero Public Licence (AGPL). Axiom Stack includes a web server and integrated Lucene database which doesn't require separate configuration, making the stack useful for rapid application development.

Axiom Software also released Axiom Debugger under a GPL licence. Axion Debugger allows the user to traverse an application's object tree and work with the objects in that tree. The Axiom Stack and Debugger are written to run on the Java virtual machine, making it available cross platform. Documentation and tutorials are available on the Axiom Stack site.

The Axiom Stack was developed as a fork of the Helma web application framework and had previously only been available for free under a personal use licence. Axiom Software say that the stack has been successfully deployed with clients such as AOL and PBS. Greg Wyland, Product Management Director at Axiom Software, said "Our decision to change the licence model was based on community involvement. We've had great success developing with Axiom Stack and want to increase our adoption and improve our software through input from the Open Source community."
