This year's ApacheCon US, the official user conference of the Apache Software Foundation, has started in Oakland, California and, in honor of its 10th anniversary, video of the event is being streamed over the Internet live for free.

The conference is divided into several different tracks, each focusing on a different component in the Apache universe. As such, there will be lectures on topics ranging from application servers, Tomcat and Geronimo, to the Lucene search engine library, the Tuscany SOA framework, the Felix OSGi implementation and the Hadoop Java framework.

All of the sessions on Wednesday's Hadoop track, Thursday's HTTP track and Friday's Lucene track are included in the live stream, which will begin today at 5:00 pm GMT. The stream is sponsored by Linux Pro Magazine Online, Collabnet and The Apache Foundation. This years ApacheCon Europe 2009 took place in Amsterdam from the 23rd to the 27th of March.
