ApacheCon NA 2011: keynotes announced

ApacheCon Logo The Apache Software Foundation (ASF) has announced the keynote speakers for this year's ApacheCon North America. ApacheCon NA 2011, the official user conference of the Apache Software Foundation, will take place from 7 to 11 November in Vancouver, Canada.

The opening keynote for the 2011 North American conference will be presented by author and open source specialist David A. Wheeler. Other keynote speakers include Eric Baldeschwieler, CEO of HortonWorks and former VP of software engineering for the Hadoop team at Yahoo!, and David Boloker, a Distinguished Engineer and CTO of IBM's Emerging Internet Technology group. The theme for this year's conference is "Open Source Enterprise Solutions, Cloud Computing, and Community Leadership".

Further information about the ApacheCon NA event, including a list of attendees and speakers, can be found on the foundation's conference web site. Registration is open to anyone and costs $1,425 for a full three-day pass; full pricing and ticket options are given in the pricing schedule.
