The development team behind Tapestry, a web framework developed under the auspices of the Apache Software Foundation, has released version 5.2. As well as improvements to the live class reloading function, which now allows reloading of service implementations, and integration of the Bean Validation API (JSR 303), the documentation for version 5.2.4 has been completely revamped. The developers have configured the IoC (Inversion of Control) containers with the annotations @Advise, @Contribute and @Decorate.

The development team has added a new API for class transformation to improve meta-programming. There is also an enhanced test function and the framework is now compatible with Google's App Engine. Page pool has finally been marked as deprecated, with the result that Tapestry applications now require less memory. Further information can be found in the official release notes for all 5.2.x versions on the redesigned web site.

Tapestry is released under the Apache Software License 2.0.
