OpenWebBeans Logo The Apache OpenWebBeans developers have released the final version 1.0.0 of their implementation of the Java JSR-299 and JSR-330 specifications. JSR-299 defines context and dependency injection mechanisms for the Java EE platform, while JSR-330 defines the @inject annotation which offers a simple and widely implemented way of defining where injections should take place.

The developers say that OpenWebBeans passes JSR-330 TCK and the JSR-299 stand-alone TCK and it's modular design scales from Java SE applications up to Java EE 6 servers. The Apache version 2 licensed libraries are available to download from the project's site.
