Akademy Logo The KDE Project has announced that registration is now open for this year's upcoming Akademy conference. The annual Akademy KDE conference will take place from the 3rd to the 10th of July, 2010 in Tampere, Finland and the conference organisers invite all contributors and users to participate. The organisers also note that they are still accepting proposals for topics. The deadline for Call for Papers is Friday the 23rd of April.

Last year's Akademy conference took place during the Gran Canaria Desktop Summit in the Canary Islands, Spain. The event marked the first time that the KDE and GNOME communities collocated their annual GUADEC and Akademy conferences. Both the KDE and GNOME projects have already confirmed that they will again co-locate for another Desktop Summit in 2011.

More details about the annual event, including venue and program information, are available on the Akademy 2010 web site. Attendance is free, however, registration is required.
