An ubuntu variant with the LXDE desktop is not at all new. The
u-lite http://u-lite.org project formally known as ubuntulite has
been active for quite a few years. The difference is that u-lite /
ubuntulite was never able to secure the blessing of Mr. Shuttleworth
/ Canonical. It is quite puzzling as to why Lubuntu appears to
receive the blessing and support but u-lite / ubuntulite appears to
have been shunned. Any thoughts / insight?
