Really? Unless you're happily running MS Office 2007 on your Windows
cell phone, and Snow Leopard apps on your iPhone, then I don't think
you can legitimately fault Linux cell phones from not running Ubuntu
or Red Hat apps such as OpenOffice.org off-the-shelf.
This is even ignoring the fact that the Windows trademark refers to
(several) incompatible operating system products that happen to be
sold by Microsoft in various markets, but the Linux trademark
specifically refers only to the kernel - the operating system
products that use Linux have a distinct branding (Ubuntu, Red Hat,
Android, Maemo, etc.).
Maybe I don't get out much, but I just don't see the confusion in the
general marketplace that you do. Oh, well.
