Couldn't agree with you more. I tested each Alpha of Jaunty.
Evrything worked and suddenly my laptop would start freezing, a
couple of days later all the flashy Compiz effects were gone!!!.
With that came jerky full screen YouTube videos.
I have an Acer 4720 (Core2Duo) with an Intel X3100 video processor.
What a shame. Intel should do something about it, not just Canonical.
After all it's their video card we paid for. I didn't pay Canonical a
dime.
