Dennis wrote a lot of incorrect information here. I'm not going to
bother responding to all of it, but just the most critical piece, as
I see it. You can judge the truth of his other statements, alongside
the truth of this area.
Dennis has repeatedly, over a long period of time, publically
misrepresented himself as the owner, and controller, of CSW packaging
at blastwave.
This has never been true. I have always run CSW packaging, and I
invented it in the first place, along with pkg-get.
At varying points, he has acknowleged this to the maintainers... yet
repeatedly gone back on his word about it and tried to take things
over.
But dont just take my word for it. Look at his own words, publically
recorded:
On the various incarnations of the "about" page, archived at,

the facts most clearly, right at the top:

This version shows clearly and unequivocably, that I was
Director Software Operations (CSW packaging) & Unstable Software
Release Manager
and James Lee was Stable Software Release Manager
Dennis Clarke, had nothing to do with core operations of CSW
packaging, beyond providing hardware, internet connectivity, and a
domain name for the project.
For him to claim that he somehow "owns" CSW packaging, for his
"donation" of the above resources to the project, is abhorrent to any
notion of the concept of "donating".
Do all "benefactors" and "donators" to community projects, now "own"
that project?!
Outrageous.
