There are many other open source x86 emulators, all much more
advanced than dioscuri:
* DOSBox - best focus on old games and game play features like
quality sound emulation
* bochs - most accurate of them all
* qemu - by far the fastest
* JPC - runs in a browser
The JPC emulator is also in Java and dioscuri is actually based on it
