For instance, I use Fedora Linux, and enjoy the wonderful world of
Open Source and emulation.  I run XMame (Mame for X11), Gens (Sega
Genesis emulator), Kegs (Apple II/ IIGS emulator), and DOSBox
(Microsoft DOS emulator), and they all work very well. In fact, they
work better than equivalent emulators do in Windoze.  There are a lot
of additional emulators for Nintendo systems, and many more.

All of this is possible thanks to Open Source (non proprietary
software).
