If G were to deprecate support for RHEL systems (6.3 is the latest
production version), they would have a LOT of their high-end
customers very upset! My company has been considering switching from
Mozilla to Chrome for our proxy browsers, servicing 100's of millions
of customers. Our current security certified OS image is RHEL 6.2
(CentOS in actuality). Being unable to keep our systems, and our
customers, secure, would not be a "good" thing... I hope that G
remains rational about this - that there are rapidly evolving
distributions that are not intended for enterprise use, and that
support for qualified enterprise systems is in their best interest,
even if they don't support the "latest and greatest" versions of
every piece of software cruft available. :-(
