QT for Java: Jambi 4.4
Under the name QT Jambi, vendor Trolltech is offering its QT interface library to Java developers as an alternative to the established Swing and SWT frameworks.
Version 4.4 is based on the C++ version released in May and includes among other things, the Webkit HTML renderer from the Safari browser. Thanks to the Phonon library, multimedia content can be displayed in QT applications.
Classes for database access now support Java's JDBC interface, which lets you use conventional Java database drivers instead having to install additional C++ plug-ins, as was the case with previous versions.
