Open Suse 11.0: Release Candidate 1 available for download

The openSUSE Project announced on Thursday that openSUSE version 11.0 Release Candidate 1 was available for download. Images of the Live CDs with installer in Gnome or KDE4 versions are available for direct download and a DVD images of x32 or x64 versions is available from via BitTorrent. Deltas from beta 3 are also provided on the download page for the developer version. RC1 can also be found on some mirrors, such as the UK mirror.

openSuse 11.0 includes updated software including kernel 2.6.25, Xen 3.2, glibc 2.8, X.org 7.3, Gnome2.22, KDE 4 and 3.5.9, and a radically updated package management which works significantly faster than in the previous version. The final version is scheduled for release on 19.6.08.
