The changes to heise online UK are now eight days away. In a few days time, we shall be revealing a new name for our site, but before then we want to talk about what the new site will be covering. Regular readers may have noticed that we have sharpened our focus over the last few months.
In the current economic climate, we considered what the most important issues were for our publication to cover and came to the conclusion that there were two; security and open source. Now, more than ever, it is important to be able to keep your information and assets secure and make best use of your resources through open source. News on these subjects will be backed up with in depth features and technical how-tos. More general news stories will complement our security and open source coverage.
