A First Glint Of Chrome

Heise online UK has spent some time with the beta release of Google Chrome, looking at how it meets the design targets that Google talked about at the launch. A First Glint Of Chrome looks at the simplicity, performance and reliability of the new Google browser.

The conclusion of the report is that it meets all of Google's goals, but questions can be asked about how the user interface can be extended, whether the V8 JavaScript engine will keep its performance lead and how well the new security model will stand up to attack in practice.
