There's quite a few approaches to creating filesystems suited for
SSDs, including addressing seek times though that can be done by the
operating system, rather than the file system. See
https://www.heise-online.co.uk/open/Kernel-Log-Coming-in-2-6-28-Part-
1-ATA-support-and-block-layer--/news/111743/from/forum to see an
example; in 2.6.28, Linux will detect SSD drives and know it doesn't
have to delay for drive head movement.
I will say though that in five years time, there's a good chance of
SSDs being inside your machine, there will still be hard drives out
there with their density advantages, providing slower but larger
storage capacity.
