About Google's Chrome 04 September 2008 23:35
You missed the best part of Chrome. For years, I have wondered why
somebody can't just answer me when I ask the time. Instead, I got
pages upon pages of where to go to find the time - and some of them
probably told me how to build a watch. Google has solved this. Type
"time (your city)" and you get the time and date (and all the other
pages as well). e.g. try "time London". It works with a lot of
things. Try "Italian food London" and it brings up the Google maps
showing some (not all, thank heavens) of the Italian restaurants in
London
You mentioned the separate processes that the pages used. But did you
know that if a page is dangerous, Chrome will warn you and give you
the option of saying "I understand, but I'm going anyway" or "Get me
back to safety". By choosing the latter, Chrome won't load the page
Although I use Yahoo for maps and Ask Jeeves when I can't think of
keywords that will narrow my search to, oh, a few hundred thousand, I
am Chrome's biggest supporter after one day of use. It is the fastest
browser I have used, even with twenty pages open (last night). I
don't even know if I want them to improve it as it's already so good
