Microsoft has released the fourth Community Technology Preview (CTP) for Visual Studio 2012 Update 2. This will likely be the last CTP before Update 2 is finalised in about four weeks. Referred to as a "go-live" version, this CTP is already considered suitable for production use. No further new features are expected to be added before the final product release.

The last new additions are a new HTML5/JavaScript-based client for Visual Studio LightSwitch and development support for SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 apps. The developers have also made some improvements to Visual Studio 2012's in-browser test management area. For example, the test result text and the test case steps can now be edited inline without the need to have the tested software installed in the IDE.
