Facebook has released version 3.0 of its SDK for iOS. The software development kit has been thoroughly revised and Facebook is currently maintaining a master version based on its own production code, as well as a beta version with iOS 6 integration that is available to downloadDirect download from the company's iOS SDK GitHub page.

The SDK contains a variety of frequently used UI components such as Login, Friend Picker and Place Picker. In addition to improving session management, the developers have fine-tuned and simplified the Core API's open graph actions. They have also added support for modern Objective C language features such as Automatic Reference Counting (ARC) and blocks, which means that the new SDK makes it more straightforward to handle asynchronous sessions and calls to the Facebook APIs.
