The Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform now offers a new developer tool to support Windows users: the AWS Tools for Windows PowerShell allow developers and administrators to manage their Amazon Web Services with Microsoft's Windows PowerShell command line program. The newly released tools support more than twenty services with over 550 PowerShell commands (called cmdlets).

Introduction to AWS Tools for PowerShell

The AWS Tools for Windows PowerShell join a range of other, previously released tools for Windows users, among them an SDK for .NET developers, an Elastic Beanstalk container for running .NET programs, a toolkit for Microsoft's Visual Studio development environment, and a management console that can be integrated into the browser.

Further details about the AWS Tools for Windows PowerShell are available in the release notes and in the user manual.
